We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our culinary team on the outskirts of Telford. This role covers mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and weekends as required so flexibility is a must. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of food cooked from fresh ingredients ensuring high standards of quality and safety are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment. The CDP will work closely with senior chefs.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
Support the cooking process by preparing dishes under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards
Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in meal quality
Help with meal presentation and garnishing as directed by senior chefs
Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food and cleaning procedures
Support the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic cooking skills and understanding of meal preparation techniques
Experience working in a busy restaurant or catering setting is advantageous
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills through hands-on experience
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
